Burger lovers rejoice, a new option has arrived.

I will admit that I have tried just about every new burger on the market. Sadly more often than not, I'm disappointed, but at times a great burger makes it onto the scene, and in some rare cases, the burger makes it into my rotation of burgers. Based on my geography, I have a few places I frequent, for traditional burgers, I love Pigasus and Chef Burger, and if the odd chance I go to Lleras, I always hit up El Parche Grill, but I lean towards liking smash burgers a bit more. The combination of the crispy meat and the retention of the flavors give smashburgers their own unique flavor profile and I love them. Sue me.

The problem is that smash burgers are not something that most burger joints here in Medellin excel in. My smash burger go-to has been Philly Steaks. But I have now added a new restaurant to the mix; Beach Burger.

Guyabal's Own Gourmet Burger Stop

Owner Jason chose the Guyabal neighborhood for it's central nature, and the restaurant is located in the 808 Empresarial complex on the ground floor. You won't see it from the street, you'll have to enter the complex, and there you will see the restaurant, typically full and lively. If you go at lunch, good luck finding a seat, the employees of the businesses that are in the complex tend to fill up the seats. I asked a few of the employees that frequent the restaurant and they all agreed that the convenience is one thing, but the quality makes them come back.

There are many elements of a burger which make it delicious or fall short, and one of the key elements is freshness of ingredients. The meats used here are all fresh purchased and ground in house. No pre-formed frozen patties here. Not only do they have a delicious burger, but they also have a chicken sandwich which is extremely unique in flavor. They combine dark meat chicken and chicken breast and prepare them like a smash burger. This gives a texture and flavor which I've never tasted before, and I have to be honest, the flavors are incredible. Another element is that the produce is fresh, because the same thing almost always happens, the heat from the meat and cheese wilts the produce. The only way around this is to prepare the veggies fresh, which is obvious here. They use actual dill pickles as well. This in addition to the sauces used are incredible.

I was adventruous in my last visit and tried the mango sauce on my burger and I don't know what I've been waiting for. It changed the game for me. I definitely recommend the mango salsa on your burger. The mix of sweet and savory is masterful. Another big thing for me is the ratio of meat to bread, and this is a great mix. Another option I got was the onion rings and fries. The fries are delicious, but the onion rings are freshly made and most importantly hand breaded. No bagged onion rings here and that is a big time plus. The last thing we got may have been the star of the show, the birthday cake milkshake. Milkshakes are something that is not mastered yet in Medellin, but Beach Burger knocks it out of the park. It's a milkshake that will bring all of the boys to the yard. Sorry, couldn't help myself there.

Centrally Located For Easy Delivery

Since we all have cravings at different times for burgers, delivery is an option, as well. Since they are located in Guyabal, delivering to most areas of the city are easy. They deliver via thier own delivery service, but they are also found on Rappi, with a solid 4.9 rating. I have ordered them via delivery in the past and they take care in packaging the to-go orders and when you get them they are fresh and delicious. A testament to their use of fresh ingredients.

The menu is simple and that is a strength of theirs. It's a callback to In-N-Out on the west coast or Shake Shack on the east coast. Simplicity is a great thing because they can focus on quality and consistency. You can find thier menu HERE. This menu is the same for Rappi or dine in, so you can get the same service either way.

Conclusion

No matter if it's eat in or delivery. Beach Burger is worthy of not just being on the burger rotation, but at the top for smash burgers. Do your self a favor, the next time you're doom scrolling Rappi looking for something new, search for Beach Burgers and you'll be happy you did.
