Come Hungry: Bella Panini Brings Authentic Italian Flavor and Fresh Daily Ingredients to the Heart of Medellín.
Italian-style sandwiches made with fresh veggies, house-baked bread, and real deli meats
Delivering in Medellín now, Bella Panini is the new go-to for fast, high-quality eats
Perfect for lunch, delivery, or casual dining—this shop raises the bar on what a sandwich should be
Medellín’s food scene just got a serious upgrade. Bella Panini, a new Italian sandwich shop offering delivery-only service, is quietly winning over locals and expats with high-quality ingredients and serious attention to detail.
This isn’t your average panini. I ordered the Lombardia, and it was everything I hoped for—and then some. The sandwich comes on golden focaccia, made in-house, with Bresaola IGP from Valtellina, Grana Padano, lemon zest, arugula, thin-sliced green apple, and a generous drizzle of real extra virgin olive oil. Every bite had balance—salty, fresh, tangy, and rich. No soggy bread. No filler. Just good food done right.
What surprised me most? The BBQ Kettle chips. I almost didn’t order them, but I’m glad I did. They were crisp, smokey, spicy and a perfect side for the sandwich. Nothing about this meal felt rushed or cheap. Bella Panini may be delivery-only, but they’re not cutting corners.
Delivery was fast and smooth. The packaging was thoughtful, and the sandwich arrived warm—not steamed or soggy, like so many delivery meals in this city.
Medellín’s food scene just got a serious upgrade. They even put in a little history lesson about the Calabria region and it's importance to the food scene of Italy.
This isn’t your average panini. I ordered the Lombardia, and it was everything I hoped for—and then some. It's packaged with actual butcher paper and twine that lets you know this isn't going to be the typical sandwich experience you get in Medellin. The sandwich comes on golden focaccia, made in-house, with Bresaola IGP from Valtellina, Grana Padano, lemon zest, arugula, thin-sliced green apple, and a generous drizzle of real extra virgin olive oil. What surprised me most? The BBQ Kettle chips. I almost didn’t order them, but I’m glad I did. They were crisp, smoky, and a perfect side for the sandwich. They also sent me the Wasabi Kettle Chips, and whenever I hear wasabi, I get flashbacks to mistaking it for avocado, and going to town. The wasabi flavor is very slight, but very good. Nothing about this meal felt rushed or cheap. Bella Panini may be delivery-only, but they’re not cutting corners.
Delivery was fast and smooth. The packaging was thoughtful, and the sandwich arrived without any issues—not steamed or soggy, like so many delivery meals in this city, especially when they say it has olive oil on it.
The only drawback is that for the time being there is limited availability and the menu changes based on what they can get, ingredients wise. I have it on good authority that the vegetarian option is to die for, so this makes me think that no matter what you choose you can't go wrong. My advice is to check their website bellapanini.co follow them on Instagram at @bellapanini.co or you can communicate with them in English or Spanish (Or even Italian if you feel adventurous!) on Whatsapp HERE Just make sure to let them know that MedellinUnfiltered sent you and ask them when we will have our own signature sandwich.
If you're tired of lifeless sandwiches and low-effort delivery deli sandwiches, Bella Panini should be your next lunch spot. They’ve raised the bar for delivery sandwiches in Medellín—and they’re just getting started.
